Ten years ago, Claire Sharp and Dianne Drosnes, friends from childhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, participated in the first Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk from Santa Barbara to Santa Monica in memory of another childhood friend who had died from the disease. During the long months of training for the grueling 75 mile hike, Claire and Dianne talked about their lives, families and the many "careers" each had had over the years - and how they might work together. Claire lived in Long Beach, California, Dianne in San Francisco. The Internet provided an answer. The question was what and how - and eventually, ArtisanStreet was born.

ArtisanStreet is a place where artisans and consumers can come together at anytime and from anywhere in a safe, secure environment without the hassle of leaving home or studio. ArtisanStreet takes care of the marketing, collections, customer service, returns and all the other hassles sometimes involved with buying and selling. ArtisanStreet makes shopping easy and safe.
